Here is the question :
BIGHORN CANYON LIES ON THE BORDER OF WHICH TWO STATES?
Here is the option for the question :
- Colorado and New Mexico
- California and Nevada
- Idaho and Washington
- Montana and Wyoming
And, the answer for the the question is :
[STC00886] Bighorn Canyon is situated between the Bighorn and Pryor mountain ranges, right on the state line between Montana and Wyoming. It got its name from the large number of bighorn sheep that live in the area. The mighty Bighorn River was responsible for the formation of the breathtaking canyon, and in the 1960s, completion of the Yellowtail Dam resulted in the formation of Bighorn Lake. The dam was named for Robert Yellowtail, chairman of the Crow tribe, although, ironically, he was firmly opposed to the building of the dam. Today, the Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area encompasses a total land area of 68,000 acres and stretches from the Crow Reservation in Montana southward through the middle of Wyoming along the river and lake.
