Explanation:

[STC0017054]. The Jal Mahal, also known as the “Water Palace,” is located around 240 kilometers (150 miles) to the west of its more famous cousin, the Taj Mahal. The floating palace dates back to the 18th century and can be found in the city of Jaipur in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Man Sagar Lake is an artificial reservoir. Above the water, only the first floor of the building’s five-story structure is visible. The palace, which had previously served as a hunting lodge, became inundated by water after the community constructed a dam in response to a prolonged drought. Later on, the lodge was expanded and restored, turning it into a popular tourist destination. Gondolas were installed to transport guests over the lake so they could go sightseeing. On top of the palace, trees and other types of vegetation grow, giving the impression that the Jal Mahal is an ethereal illusion in the middle of an oasis.
