In a daring and unconventional step, Led Zeppelin opted to release their fourth album in 1971 without a formal title or the band’s name displayed on the cover. Displeased with the media’s emphasis on their image rather than their musical prowess, they aimed for the music to speak for itself. Although the band intended to leave the album nameless, it quickly became known as “Led Zeppelin IV” in the public sphere and has retained that title ever since. This album includes some of the group’s most legendary tracks, including “Stairway to Heaven,” “Black Dog,” and “Rock and Roll.”
