Toys for Tots is a charitable initiative administered by the United States Marine Corps, delivering toys to youngsters from families unable to afford Christmas presents during the festive period. Established in 1947 by Marine reservist Major Bill Hendricks, the program received official endorsement from the U.S. Marine Corps and was designated a formal mission of the Marine Corps Reserve in 1995.
