What kind of teeth are your wisdom teeth? Explained
Wisdom teeth, also referred to as the third molars, are the final set of molars that typically emerge in the late teenage years or early adulthood, commonly between the ages of 17 and 25. Positioned at the rear of the mouth, there are two in the upper jaw and two in the lower jaw. Due to limited space for proper eruption, these teeth may become impacted, growing at odd angles or failing to fully emerge through the gums, leading to discomfort or crowding. As a result of these issues, wisdom teeth are frequently extracted.
